RCIA UPDATE

Please pray for Heather Marie Fuller and Gary Wiant as they prepare to enter the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil. Gary and Heather will travel to the Cathedral this Sunday afternoon as Bishop Zubik presides at a Rite of Election.  We are celebrating a Rite of Sending at the 9:00 Mass this Sunday.  The rite offers the parish "the opportunity to express its approval of the [candidates] and to send them forth to the celebration of election assured of the parish's care and support."  During Lent, the candidates enter the third phase of the RCIA process, the "period of purification and enlightenment."  This time is centered on deepening their conversion to Christ as they prepare for the Easter sacraments.  The season of Lent owes its origins to the efforts of Christian communities to support their catechumens by joining them in prayer, fasting and penitence.

HAITI

The HOPE FOR HAITI Committee will meet Wednesday, March 4, 7:30pm in the Pastoral Center.  Anyone interested in the Haiti Project is welcome to attend.
