DID YOU KNOW…

A study commissioned by the Knights of Columbus revealed that 75% of Catholic young people who had seriously considered religious life felt they were never encouraged to pursue that goal. Do you know someone who would make a good priest? Why not tell him so? Your encouragement may be all he needs.

RCIA—THE SCRUTINIES CONCLUDE

The Scrutinies are rituals of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) which are celebrated during Lent. We pray that God will heal all that is weak or sinful in the hearts of our candidates, and strengthen all that is upright and good. Next weekend at the 11:00 a.m. Mass on March 29 we will celebrate the Third Scrutiny for Heather Fuller and Gary Wiant, who are preparing for sacramental initiation into our faith community at the Easter Vigil. At that Mass, we will hear the account in John's Gospel of how Jesus, who raises Lazarus from death, is himself resurrection and life for all who believe in him. Prepare for the celebration of the scrutiny in a personal way by discerning how you can open yourself to new life in Christ, and please continue to pray for our candidates and the RCIA team.
