THANKS  ASPINWALL OFFICIALS & ROAD CREW

As we know all too well, last month was the heaviest February snow fall in a hundred and twenty years!! I want to express my thanks to Council and Mayor Ben Killian, but especially to the borough plow and truck operators who worked around the clock to dig us out. They were like Marines making mission. I am grateful. Fr. Ken

RCIA UPDATE

Please pray for Heather Underwood and Lauren Gagliardino as they prepare to receive the sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist at the Easter Vigil.  One wonderful way to support Lauren and Heather is by your presence at the Easter Vigil at 8:30 p.m. on Holy Saturday, April 3.  Another is by joining them in prayer and periods of fasting, especially between the Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord's Supper and the Vigil on Holy Saturday. The season of Lent owes its origins to the efforts of early Christian communities to support their catechumens by joining them in this "Paschal Fast". It is not a fast of repentance, but one of joyful anticipation of the Easter feast.

RESPECT LIFE

Sunday, March 21, Congress passed an historic Health Care Bill that requires tax payers to pay for abortion. Wednesday, March 25th, the Feast of the Annunciation, was the 15th anniversary of Pope John Paul 11's encyclical on "The Gospel of Life". March 31st is the 5th anniversary of the day Terry Schiavo died of starvation and dehydration at the order of the U.S. Court. Fr. Frank Pavone (Priests For Life) says "You can't pass the right kind of laws without the right lawmakers in office." Please if you have moved or are a new voter, pick up a voter registration form or absentee application in the Church vestibule.

THANK YOU

To all of our parishioners who supported CDTCA's Fish Fry on March 19th.  Because of you, the Fish Fry was very successful.  We are planning two Fish Frys again next Lenten Season.  We hope you will plan to join us!
