STATIONS OF THE CROSS
Stations of the Cross are on Friday evenings in Lent at 7:00pm (no Stations on Good Friday evening).

LENTEN FISH FRY
The first Fish Fry for this Lenten season will be held Friday, March 18, 2011 in the cafeteria of our school, Christ the Divine Teacher Catholic Academy, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.  Eat in or take out.  To place a take-out order, fill out a form located in the back of church or call 412-781-6846 from 9:00 am on the day of the fish fry.  NEW THIS YEAR - Lunch take-out only will be available from 11:00am to 1:00 pm on Friday, March 18.  Plan to come and bring your family and friends!

APPALACHIA MEETING
Our next meeting for our mission trip is March 29that 7:30 pm in the pastoral center.  This is final date to sign up for the trip.

AQUINAS GUILD
The Aquinas Guild is pleased to announce that Sister Catherine Higgins, CSJ, a sister of St. Joseph from Baden, will speak on, "Offering the Gift of Presence--an invitation to live each moment fully aware of God's life in us, in all around us", on Wednesday, March 23rd at 10:00 am in the Pastoral Center. GIFT CERTIFICATES
We will be selling gift certificates after all Masses next weekend. A wide variety will be available including Giant Eagle, Community Market and Panera. Cash or checks (payable to CDTCA) will be accepted. Thank you for your continued support.

COME HOME FOR LENT AND EASTER
If you've been away from the church or you are drifting away from it, if you've been hurt by the Church or are confused or angry because of your Catholic experience, please consider this invitation to come meet with us and talk and be heard.  Perhaps this Easter can be a time of resurrected hope in your faith journey. Join us on Monday, March 21, at 7:30 p.m. in the Pastoral Center.
 
THE ABCs OF CATHOLIC ANNULMENTS
If you are divorced or in a second marriage and would like an overview of annulments, please attend this session on Monday, March 28,at 7:30 p.m. in the Pastoral Center.  Fr. Ken White will talk about the annulment process and how to take the first steps.  If you know someone who might benefit from this information, please invite him or her to attend and offer to come along for support.

CORRECTION
Confessions will be available at 7:00 p.m. on March 24th at St. Edward Parish, Blawnox, after a 6:30 p.m. mass.  The time listed in our Lenten events flyer is incorrect.

MOVIE BLOOD DRIVE
This Sunday, March 13th, is the St. Scholastica Blood Drive.  Are you the right type?  Yes!  Donors of every blood type are needed everyday, so everyone has the right type. The rarest blood is the type that is not available when it's needed.  Do you know your right type. A-,A+,B-,B+,O-,O+,AB-,AB+.  Come to the drive, donate blood and Central Blood Bank will send your personal donor card with your blood type!  Please give blood.  All registered donors will receive two free movie tickets.

NEW PARISHIONER WELCOME
On Sunday, March 20, after the 9:00 am and 11:00 am Masses, all are invited to the Pastoral Center for an open house to welcome our newest parishioners. Please plan to join us! Light refreshments will be served.

APPALACHIA FUND RAISER
Our "pink envelope" fundraiser for our annual Youth Ministry Appalachia Mission Trip is well under way!  You may return your envelope "down the chimney" of the house any time before April 3rd.  If you have not selected an envelope, you may do so at any time prior to April 3.  We are grateful for your prayers and your financial support.

INTERSECTION
All students grades 8-12 are invited to join us for INTERSECTION on March 20 from 10am-11am in the ministry center.  This is a discussion of the gospel as it applies to your life.  Light Breakfast provided.

RECONCILIATION (CONFESSION) is celebrated at St. Scholastica Parish on Saturdays after 9:00 a.m. Mass. For your convenience,the parishes in our cluster have the following opportunities for reconciliation:
    St. Joseph Parish has Sat. reconciliation from 3:30-4:00.
    Madonna of Jerusalem has reconciliation on Wednesday evening from 5:30-6:45 and Saturday from 3:00-4:00 p.m..
